Botox and Neurotoxin Injections

Teeth Whitening in Monmouth County

Over time, repeated muscle movements from frowning, raising eyebrows, and squinting causes the skin to fold resulting in wrinkles or facial lines. Botox and other neurotoxin injections can reduce the appearance of these facial lines by temporarily relaxing the muscles of the face. Neurotoxins block the communication between the nerves and the muscles, which prevents the muscle from contracting. As a result of relaxing the facial muscles, wrinkles and facial lines are softened making them appear visibly smoother.

The most commonly treated areas are the horizontal lines in the forehead, glabellar or frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet or outer eye areas, and lines around the lips. Treatment can be done in just a few minutes and with little to no discomfort. There is minimal downtime; you can resume your daily routine immediately following injections. Results may begin to be seen in as little as 24 hours. Full results are seen at 14 days and typically last for 3-6 months.

Dermal Fillers

Invisalign in Monmouth County

Dermal filler is a gel-like substance injected under the skin to reduce the appearance of facial lines, restore volume loss, or enhance facial contours. Many patients seek dermal filler treatments to combat the natural loss of volume in the face due to age related collagen loss. Fillers are both curative and preventative. The most common type of filler is hyaluronic acid, a sugar that is naturally found in the body. Popular areas of dermal filler treatment include the lips, cheeks, and smile lines. The area of treatment will determine the quantity and type of filler used to ensure natural-looking results.

Treatment can be completed in the office in approximately one hour. Topical anesthetic is applied prior to treatment to reduce discomfort. In addition, many fillers have lidocaine as an ingredient that numbs the area while it is being injected. Results are immediate and can last for 6 months up to two years depending on the product used and location of treatment. Downtime varies from person to person, however, you are able to resume most activities immediately. The most common side effects are swelling and bruising which typically improve after a few days and resolve within 2 weeks.

Lipo-Mino Fat Loss Injection

Porcelain Veneers in Monmouth County

In combination with diet and exercise, Lipo-Mino injections can help promote fat loss, increase energy, build muscle, and promote a healthy immune system. These injections are packed full of lipotropic compounds that catalyse the breakdown of fat during metabolism and are strong antioxidants. They include:
– Methionine: Helps break down sugars & carbohydrates and convert to energy.
– Inositol: Converts food to energy
– Choline: Healthy nerve cells, cuts muscle recovery time, helps convert fat into energy
– Carnitine: Improves fat metabolism and energy, reduces recovery times, and promotes muscle building potential
– Hydroxocobalamin (B12): Energy, healthy nerve cells

In addition to the lipotropics blend, Lipo-Mino also contains a mixture of B vitamins that further help to facilitate fat loss and increase energy, reduce appetite, build muscle, and promote a healthy immune system:

– Pyridoxine (B6): Promotes red blood cell production and converts food to energy
– Thiamine (B1): Improves immune system, helps convert fat and carbohydrates into energy.
– Riboflavin (B2): Increases metabolism, supports the immune system.

When added to your healthy lifestyle, Lipo-Mino injections can help facilitate your weight loss journey. Injections are administered in just a few minutes once weekly in office. They are given intramuscularly (similarly to a vaccine) in either the upper arm or buttock. Increased energy is generally felt immediately and fat loss is noticeable in about 30 days. Treatment duration depends on individual goals and is recommended for at least 6-8 weeks.

PRP Microneedling and Injections

Cosmetic Bonding in Monmouth County

Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as “PRP” is a treatment that uses a person’s blood to help fight the visible signs of aging skin.

First, a fraction of blood (20cc-55cc) is drawn up from the individual patient into a syringe. The blood is spun down in a special centrifuge to separate its components (Red Blood Cells, Platelet Rich Plasma, and Plasma). Then, the PRP is then drawn up into a syringe to be injected or is microneedled into the skin. Both methods cause mild inflammation that triggers the healing cascade. During this process, the platelets release a number of enzymes and growth factors to promote healing and tissue responses including attracting stem cells to repair the damaged area. As a result, new collagen begins to develop. As the collagen matures it begins to shrink causing the tightening and strengthening of the damaged area.

The full procedure takes approximately 45 minutes – 1 hr. A topical anesthetic will be applied to your skin prior to treatment to minimize discomfort. When used with microneedling, a sterile hypodermic needle pen tip is used to create superficial “micro-channels” to the outermost layer of the skin in which PRP will be infused into. Downtime is minimal; your skin will be red much like a sunburn for a couple of hours to a few days after treatment.

When injected, PRP is injected much like dermal filler to the area of treatment. Mild swelling and bruising may occur which typically resolves in a few days.

Generally, 2-3 treatments are advised, however, more may be indicated for some individuals. Touch-up treatment may be done once a year after the initial group of treatments to boost and maintain the results.

Don’t let the name of this regenerative facial frighten you. A vampire facial, also known as a PRP facial, uses the extraordinary growth factors within your blood to trigger collagen production. Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Treatments

Will my insurance cover cosmetic treatments?

It depends. Oftentimes, dental and medical insurance will not cover procedures that are purely elective. But if it is needed as part of treating a medical condition, it may be covered – at least in part. The team at Champagne Smiles will be able to review your benefits and your treatment plan to give you an idea of what you will be responsible for.

Are there any side effects to Lipo-Mino Fat Loss Injections?

Although rare and temporary, a few side effects have been reported, including pain or tenderness in the injection area, tiredness, upset stomach, random pain in various parts of the body, etc. Most patients don’t encounter any side effects and those who do find that the benefits of the Lipo-Mino Fat Loss Injections far outweigh the temporary inconvenience of the side effects.

How can you prepare for PRP Microneedling and Injections?

In preparation for your PRP microneedling or injection appointment, you will want to halt taking any aspirins, anti-inflammatory medications (such as Ibuprofen or Aleve), blood thinners, herbal supplements, vitamin E, and fish oil. You should remove these one week prior to your appointment.

Are Botox injections painful?

No, Botox injections are not painful. You may experience a little discomfort as it still involves an injection, but the needle used is so tiny that this discomfort is very minimal.

Will Botox and Neurotoxin injections make my face look unnatural?

While there is a chance that too much injected into the wrong space can lead to an unnatural appearance, carefully selecting a quality team of skilled professionals – such as those of us at Champagne Smiles – matters. You can trust that you will have beautiful, natural results.

Where are dermal fillers most commonly used?

Dermal fillers most commonly target areas such as the lips, the cheeks, the nose, and the chin. With age, these are the areas that often experience tissue loss and the dermal fillers restore the volume.
